The Benefits & Wellness Manager will be part of the People Operations team and will evolve and manage Mythical’s benefits, 401k and wellness programs. This role is essential in supporting the well-being of our employees across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia. Reporting to our Sr Director, People Operations, the Benefits and Wellness Manager will work closely with the greater People org to ensure we are building programs that align with Mythical’s values.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, evolve and implement global benefits programs including health, dental, 401(K), leave programs, and wellness programs
- Partner with our global benefits broker to lead our go-to-market and renewals strategy for benefits plans, including market analysis, cost forecasting, and implementation
- Evolve our onboarding process to simplify and boost the employee experience
- Ensure our benefits, leaves and wellness programs are competitive
- Administer annual benefits renewal, benefit plan changes and open enrollment globally
- Collaborate with local team members to understand benefit needs and external market competitiveness of Mythical’s global benefits offerings in markets outside of the US
- Manage external vendor relationships, including benefit carriers, domestic and international brokers, and service providers
- Conduct research and provide recommendations for new global location people ops set-up
- Evaluate effectiveness of benefit and wellness programs through engagement and cost analysis
- Ensure all benefit offerings align with our benefits philosophy; partner with benefits brokers to market benefits annually and provide insight and cost impact
- Lead, plan, and run effective communications and education of benefits to our employee population
- Conduct regular auditing and reconciliations of people- and benefits-related data, implementing solutions to correct and prevent discrepancies in the future
- Leverage HRIS data to complete annual compliance filings, including EEO-1, 1095, OSHA, 5500, and other state and federal filings as required
- Stay up to date on various health laws/advisories regarding Covid in order to update practices and policies and provide updated communications to the Company
- Provide benefit and wellness analysis and reporting and draft communications
- Partner with our external immigration attorneys and our employees on immigration matters
- Implement updated HRIS and HR Technology solutions and workflows pertaining to benefits programs
- Partner with our internal HRIS team on benefit configuration requirements and implementation
- Work directly with employees to resolve employee benefits questions
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience building and managing benefits programs including 401(K) in the US and abroad
- Experience partnering with benefits brokers to ensure competitive program designs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand complex business needs and translate them into a easy to understand terms
- Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting deadlines
- Strong bias for action and demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines
- A strong understanding of multi-state and federal benefits rules, regulations and best practices; international experience strongly preferred
- A high level of attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Previous experience in a start-up preferred
