What is The Contenders Program?
The Contenders program is all about recognizing players who have competed on the biggest stages. Whether they’ve fought for a ring, a college title, or a high school state championship, these athletes know what it means to chase greatness.
This five-week program kicks off on March 20th and runs until April 24th, leading right into the NFL Draft ‘25 program. Throughout the event, you’ll find a familiar mix of program players, currency, pack offers, chase events, and an exclusive campaign. Plus, we’re rolling out NFL Draft prediction packs, giving you a shot at predicting key moments in the upcoming draft.
Who’s in the Program?
We’ve hand-picked 46 unique NFL players for The Contenders program. Here’s how they break down:
- 30 Players in packs – 10 Legendary, 10 Epic, and 10 Rare. Legendary players will have Luminous editions, rotating in and out of packs weekly.
- 12 Chase Players – 7 available in the shop and 5 in weekend events, with 1 dropping each weekend.
- 4 Other Players – 2 in the Power Pass, 1 in the campaign, and 1 in the Squads shop.

The Program Hub – Your Contenders Command Center

What You Need to Know About Contenders
- This is a celebration of players who have fought for a championship at any level.
- Play in Contenders events to collect Respect, the program’s currency, and unlock players; including the exclusive Mythical program player!
- Complete the Power Pass to unlock two exclusive Contenders players.
Live Events & Program Currency: Earn Your Respect
Every great program needs a currency, and in Contenders, it’s Respect—because these players have earned it.
You’ll collect Respect by participating in live events and exchange it for exclusive players in the Program Store.
Live Events Breakdown
- Currency Events – Two Respect-earning events run each week, with different requirements and rewards. Just showing up and participating will earn you currency.
- Chase Events – Each of the five weekends will feature a Hero Chase event, where you’ll need a few current Contenders players to enter. Load up your lineup with the right cards to earn powerful bonuses.
The Program Store – Where Champions Are Made
Once you’ve earned your Respect, it’s time to spend it. The Program Store offers:
- Chase Players – Grab the most sought-after Contenders players.
- Base Player Editions – Add solid Contenders players to your roster.
- Blueprints – Upgrade your players.
- Program Packs & Resource Packs – Load up on the essentials.

Power Pass – Level Up & Unlock Exclusive Rewards
The Power Pass is your long-term path to greatness. As always, it’s a 40-level system with free and paid reward tracks.
- The Free Path – Earn solid rewards just by playing.
- The Power Path – Offers 20x the value, with extra gems, coins, training points, higher-value packs, and two exclusive rewards:
- An Epic Contenders player
- 1-2 Profile or Team Icons (PFPs)
